Thames Lido X Caldesi Four Hands Dinner – 26th March 2024

5-courses | £65 per head including a welcome drink

This marks the first in the series of our collaborative ‘four hands’ events where the lido welcomes local restaurants, chefs, and suppliers to collectively celebrate the seasons with good food, wine, and company. 

For our first event, we welcome our friend Giancarlo Caldesi and his team to Thames Lido for one night only.

TV Chef, restaurateur and author, Giancarlo is often referred to as The God Father of Tuscan cookery. He first came to prominence on the BBC TV series ‘Return to Tuscany’ and has since cooked on TV shows like Market Kitchen, Sunday Brunch, Saturday Kitchen and many more. He is the founder and owner of Caldesi in Marylebone, Caldesi in Campagna in Bray and is due to open a new restaurant in Belsize Park in April. Together with his wife Katie they run a successful cookery school, La Cucina Caldesi, where you can learn to cook the Italian way. 

This marks the first of many collaborative ‘four hands’ events where our Head Chef Iain Ganson welcomes local culinary talent to collectively celebrate the seasons with good food, wine, and company. 

The evening promises rustic Italian dishes from Caldesi’s classic repertoire including sea bass ravioli. Our offering will be quintessentially ‘lido’ with local Berkshire lamb cooked on our charcoal grill with and Giancarlo’s famous tiramisu with Vin Santo rounding up the perfect Italian inspired feast.
